You are in a 5-10 minute walking distance from: Museum of Applied Arts, the National Museum, the famous walking street Ráday utca full of coffee places and restaurants, the Danube, the Corvinus University, the Market, Váci Utca. Furthermore the tram lines 4 and 6 are just in front of the building and CORVIN SÉTÁNY and Blaha Lujza metro stations are just 5 minutes away. Other attractions like Liszt Ferenc square, the Parliament, the Opera House, the Basilica and the City Park are easily accessible through the public transportation system. Comment: András was the consummate host-- on our first day, he took us to the Szechenyi bath and later that same day, a trip to Trofea Grill for an amazing meal. You should definitely heed his advice about things to do and when to do them! The apartment was perfect as right outside apartment the 4 and 6 tram passed, and three blocks down (you could take either tram to avoid the walk) was the Forenc Korut station (Metro 3 line) that takes you to the airport and also links with Metro lines 1&2, which take you throughout the Pest section of the city (the rooms are on the inside of a courtyard so there is no noise at all).
The heat was spot on, there was a grocery store right across the street, and a pedestrian street with several cafes 25 meters away.
